Old Galley Kitchen
Ugh! What else can be said? This kitchen has had it! Laminate butcher block counter tops and a dishwasher positioned in the wrong place are just the beginnings of a long list of problems for this home owner!
The need list was this: new cabinetry, removal of soffit, and granite.
OH, and could we have some extra counter space-- without adding on or major remodeling?

Well, as a matter of fact, we did accomplish all those goals. We removed the soffit and extended the new cabinetry to the ceiling-- increasing the capacity without any additional square footage. The tile flooring was patched, seamlessly, can you tell where? (It is in front of the stove.) The dishwasher was moved to the right of the sink--proper placement for a right-handed dishwasher. The counter tops were replaced with granite-- remnants, no less, which fit into most budgets and are readily available! The custom designed back splash was installed with stock tiles- again budget
